The Contract for Operation and Maintenance Support for National Electronic Government Procurement (e-GP) Systemof Government of Nepal was secured by Dohatec New Media alongwith DG Market International Nepal.
The contract was secured through international bidding and was signed on 19 April 2018 in Kathmandu with the Public Procurement Monitoring Office (PPMO), in the Office of the Prime Minister of Nepal.
Luna Shamsuddoha, Chairman, Dohatec New Media met Madhu Prasad Regmi, Secretary, Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Public Procurement Monitoring Office, Government of Nepal on signing of the Operation and Maintenance Support for National Electronic Government Procurement (e-GP) System between Public Procurement Monitoring Office (PPMO), Government of Nepal, along with Manish Bhattarai, Director PPMO, Yagya Raj Koirala, Joint Secretary and Aditya Jha, DG Market.
Nepal e-GP was initially supported by Asian Development Bank who had engaged Price Waterhouse Coopers. Under the present contract Dohatec along with Nepal associates DG Market will deliver services to manage application and all infrastructure setup of the e-GP system. The task entails 24/7 support to debug and resolve real time issues and enhance the features and functionalities of the system to improve the overall system performance.
It is to be noted that Dohatec is the e-GP System vendor for the Royal Government of Bhutan and has been involved in the Bangladesh Public Procurement MIS and e-GP System for over a decade. Dohatec is an international software vendor based out of Bangladesh forover twenty-five years. It has capacity in Identity, PKI and security space in the domains of e-government, voter enrollment, social safety net transfers, civil registry and has a big data analytics platform.
